My Father, in his most uncharacteristic moment, created a feeding chair for my niece in about an hour. (He would usually spend many days on the concept, creation and the finishing process.) The result was functional. On weekends with my parents, Elizabeth could now sit (relatively) comfortably with us at the table.
Of course Dad and I discussed this chair in detail. There were many possible improvements. As each new member of our family has arrived, we’ve recreated it with inside knowledge and a lot more time. What you see is version five.
“Dad, this seat is just one of the million projects we have shared. Every hour with you in the workshop is precious. Thank you for everything.”
